ALA BMCON

Welcome to ALA BMCON. Alumni association of the college is our umbilical link to the alma mater. The association aims to promote continuing connection of former students to the institution while fostering personal links between its members.

INCEPTION OF ASSOCIATION

The thought of forming the alumni association evolved for needs from both the ends that is academicians and professionals, in the aim of building a bridge between college life and career life. The idea took shape and formation of alumni association turned into reality on the auspicious day of 20.12.2018 named as “ALA BMCON” in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Roy K George , Prof. Soya K, Prof. Agnet Beena Mani and other faculty members and many enthusiastic former students of the college.

History

Baby Memorial College of Nursing (estd 2002) an institution under Baby Memorial Hospital Ltd, has carved out its own enviable position in nursing education scenario. The college now offer BSc Nursing, MSc. Nursing in all specialities, PBBSc. Nursing and PhD (part time programmes). BMCON is the first research centre in nursing approved by Kerala University of Health Sciences. As all alumni may be aware affiliation of the college was shifted from University of Calicut to KUHS in 2010. Also in 2016, BMCON was sanctioned to start Nurse Practitioner in critical care programme. As of 2020, 15 batches of BSc nursing, 10 bathches of MSc nursing, and 8 batches of PBBSc nursing stuednts completed their course and are working in different parts of the world bringing name and fame to the institution.

Envisioned by the founder of Baby Memorial Hospital, the institution is committed towards achieving and maintaining excellence in education and research so as to benefit humanity.
